"Christmasville" is the story of Mary Jane Higgins, who suspects that there is more to Christmasville than what meets the eye. What the reader discovers at the conclusion of chapter one is that Mary Jane - as well as the town in which she resides - is situated on a 4 x 8 model train platform.
Influences within the text suggest "magical" elements (the tarot reading, Madeleine's closet, etc.) while others suggest what might be construed as "miraculous" (the appearance of the shepherd boy and his lamb, the three riders, etc.). For those of you who have read "Christmasville", which influence most readily explains the outcome of the novel?

So ... magic or miracle?
And which theme might come to the forefront in the companion novel,
"Finding Christmasville"?
